God says you lack the faith of acknowledging Christ.

In March 2017 I started doing graphic design work for the church mainly for movie posters and thumbnails. At first I didn’t know much about the technical side, so I was constantly learning the principles and technical skills. I would modestly ask for brothers’ and sisters’ help and I was careful to take others’ advice in my designs. After a while I started to get a handle on the technical skills I needed for the duty. My thumbnails were put online and the click-through rate was pretty good. There was one particular poster for a documentary that lots of brothers and sisters praised. Others were consulting with me a lot on technical issues, so I felt like I had some real talent in the area of graphic design. I became arrogant without realizing it.

Chen Li was walking home after a gathering when she thought of what Sister Wang had just said to her about the Lord Jesus already having returned, and asking Chen Li to go to her house that afternoon to listen to a sermon. Thinking over what she had said, Chen Li couldn’t help but ask herself: “The Lord Jesus gave us a promise: ‘I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also’ (John 14:2–3). He went back up to heaven on a white cloud, so the place He’s preparing for us has to be in heaven, and when the Lord returns, He’ll take us straight into the kingdom of heaven. Plus, the pastors and elders often say that when He returns we’ll be raptured up and meet with the Lord—we’ll be together with Him. If the Lord Jesus had already returned we should have been raptured up by Him, so why we are all still here on earth?” At this thought, Chen Li furrowed her brows; her face was clouded with doubt.

While on the run, Li Chenxi joins brothers and sisters in spreading the gospel all over the country. They suffer under the CCP’s reign of terror, suppressed and arrested time and time again.
Li Chenxi has attended gatherings and read the Bible with her parents since she was little. In 1988 at just 13 years old, she’s arrested while attending a gathering, then locked up in a small, dark room for one day and two nights. From then on, the CCP never stops persecuting her. She’s once again arrested by the police at 17 for sending books of God’s words to other brothers and sisters in the church. In an effort to force her to reveal the source of the books, the police brutally beat her father right in front of her, and parade her through the streets labeled as a “political prisoner.” In 1996, the police come to arrest Li Chenxi once again. She has no choice but to flee her hometown and begin the life of a fugitive. The CCP police’s frequent harassment and intimidation leaves her entire family living in a constant state of terror. Unable to withstand the long-term stress and fear, her mother has a mental breakdown, and her father, who already suffered from health problems, sees his condition deteriorate even further because of the police’s brutal beating. A once-happy family is thus torn apart. While on the run, Li Chenxi joins brothers and sisters in spreading the gospel all over the country. They suffer under the CCP’s reign of terror, suppressed and arrested time and time again. Some brothers and sisters are arrested and then savagely tortured. Some are beaten to death, and some are given prison sentences of more than 10 years. In late 2012, Li Chenxi is arrested once again while sharing the gospel and undergoes four long months of interrogations, attempts to extort confessions, and brainwashing.
