Through your fellowship, we see that our thoughts about the Lord’s return and the rapture really did just come from our own conceptions. We have already seriously gone against the Lord’s words. That being said, how should we wait for the Lord’s return and the rapture now? Can you talk about this in a bit more detail

Eastern Lightning | church life

Answer: The saints’ hopes of being raptured are mainly based on the Lord Jesus’ own words: “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (Jhn 14:2-3). We interpret the Lord Jesus’ words based on our own conceptions and imaginations. Concerning the Bible (3)

Concerning the Bible (3)

Not everything in the Bible is a record of the words personally spoken by God. The Bible simply documents the previous two stages of God’s work, of which one part is a record of the foretelling of the prophets, and one part is the experiences and knowledge written by people used by God throughout the ages. Human experiences are tainted with human opinions and knowledge, and this is something which is unavoidable. Continue reading “Concerning the Bible (3)”

Every sincere believer in the Lord wants to escape the bonds of sin and obtain God’s approval. The Poor in Spirit Can Hear God’s Voice and Follow His Footsteps

By Qingche

Matthew 25:6 says, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him.” The Lord Jesus’ words tell us clearly that, when He returns in the last days, people will testify to us that “the bridegroom comes,” meaning they are testifying that the Lord has returned. So what practices should we adopt to accord with the Lord’s will and that will enable us to greet the Lord? The Lord Jesus did in fact tell us of two paths of practice for investigating the true way long ago. Continue reading “The Poor in Spirit Can Hear God’s Voice and Follow His Footsteps”

I Welcomed the Return of the Lord

Eastern Lightning | spiritual devotion

Qingxin, Myanmar

My parents are both Christians and from an early age I started going with them to church to attend services. At the age of 12 I attended a grand Christian camp in Myanmar, and while I was there a pastor told me: “The only way to avoid death and enter the kingdom of heaven is to be baptized.” And so in order to enter the kingdom of heaven I decided to get baptized while I was at the camp. From that time on, I became a genuine Christian. Continue reading “I Welcomed the Return of the Lord”

Breathing Easy Without Jealousy

The Church of Almighty God | church life

By Anjing, China

In January of 2017, I was given the duty of watering within the church. I was so grateful to God for the chance to train on this duty, and resolved to do it attentively and well. After some time, I achieved some results, whether in helping brothers and sisters put their states right, or fellowshiping with them in gatherings. My brothers, sisters and the church leaders all thought highly of me, and I began to feel very pleased with myself, that I was doing great. Continue reading “Breathing Easy Without Jealousy”

The purpose of the three stages of work of God’s management of mankind

The Church of Almighty God | Eastern Lightning | church life

Relevant Words of God:

My entire management plan, the six-thousand-year management plan, consists of three stages, or three ages: the Age of Law of the beginning; the Age of Grace (which is also the Age of Redemption); and the Age of Kingdom of the last days. My work in these three ages differs in content according to the nature of each age, but at each stage this work befits the needs of man—or, to be more precise, is done according to the tricks that Satan employs in the war that I wage against it. Testimonies of Faith | Faith Perfected Through Trials and Tribulations

By Shu Chang, South Korea

My mom developed a health problem in 1993, and as a result my whole family gained faith in the Lord Jesus. After that, she experienced a miraculous recovery and I went to church with her every Sunday from then on. Then in the spring of 2000, the joyful news of the Lord’s return reached our home. By reading Almighty God’s words, we became certain that He is the Lord Jesus returned and we accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days. We started reading Almighty God’s words every day, enjoying the watering and sustenance they provide. This really nurtured me spiritually. Thinking about how many people longing for the Lord’s coming still hadn’t heard God’s voice or welcomed the Lord’s return, I knew I had to considerate God’s will and share the kingdom gospel with them. I soon started doing my duty to share the gospel. But to my surprise, that got me arrested by the CCP. Continue reading “Testimonies of Faith | Faith Perfected Through Trials and Tribulations”
