The main character has believed in God since she was little, along with her family, and has been waiting for the Lord to return. One day, a church friend of hers gives her testimony that the Lord Jesus has already returned, and that He’s expressing truths to do the work of judging and cleansing mankind. She wants to look into it, but then she remembers the priest always saying that false Christs will come in the last days to deceive people, so she turns her friend down. But through the fellowships of her friend, her husband, and her mother-in-law, she realizes that labeling all news of the Lord’s coming as fake for fear of being misled is just cutting off her nose to spite her face, and means she’s likely to condemn the Lord’s return as well. She therefore decides to investigate and learn more about it. Through reading Almighty God’s words, attending gatherings and listening to fellowship, she learns the principle to discern the true Christ from false Christs, she recognizes that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned, and happily accepts Almighty God’s work of the last days.

Man’s nature is quite different from My essence, for man’s corrupt nature originates entirely from Satan; man’s nature has been processed and corrupted by Satan. That is, man lives under the influence of its evil and ugliness. Man does not grow in a world of truth or a holy environment, and still less does man live in the light. Therefore, it is not possible for anyone to possess truth within their nature from the moment of birth, and less can anyone be born with an essence that fears and obeys God. On the contrary, people are possessed of a nature that resists God, disobeys God, and has no love for the truth. This nature is the problem I want to discuss—betrayal. Betrayal is the source of each person’s resistance to God. This is a problem that exists only in man, and not in Me. Some will ask: Since all men live in the world just as Christ does, why is it that all men have natures that betray God, yet Christ does not? This is a problem that must be explained clearly to you.

Only when she reads the words of Almighty God does she finally understand why she is unable to free herself from sin, and she discovers the path to purify her corruption and enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The narrator often has differences of opinion with her mother, causing heated arguments to flare up constantly. Despite the narrator’s best attempts to act according to the Lord’s words, to practice tolerance and patience, she still cannot help herself and continues to argue fiercely with her mother. Troubled by her inability to control her own actions, the narrator can only comfort herself by telling herself that, over time, her belief in the Lord will free her from sin and purify her and that she will be raised up into the kingdom of heaven in the end. Only when she reads the words of Almighty God does she finally understand why she is unable to free herself from sin, and she discovers the path to purify her corruption and enter into the kingdom of heaven.

She then gains some understanding of her selfish and malicious satanic corrupt disposition through the judgment and revelation of God’s words, and she comes to hate it, full of regret and self-reproach.
