God hopes that the brothers and sisters
are able to truly pray every day.
This is not adherence to doctrine.
There has to be an effect obtained.
The protagonist became a believer at an early age and, as an adult, has enthusiastically expended herself for the Lord with the hope of being raptured into the kingdom of heaven.

When the gospel is spread in the future,
you should be able to share what you know,
testify to what you’ve gained in your heart,
sparing no effort in your doing so.
This is what should be attained by a created being.
If you are resolved on being one of God’s witnesses,
then you need to understand what God loathes and what God loves.
You must come to know His disposition through His work on you;
you must understand His will and requirements of mankind
to truly testify about Him and perform your duty.

So when people recognize God’s sovereignty over human fate,
the clever ones choose to know it and accept it,
to bid farewell to the painful days
when they tried to build a good life with their own two hands,
and to stop struggling against fate
and pursuing their so-called “life goals” in their own way.
God’s words:“What you admire is not the humility of Christ, but the false shepherds of prominence. You do not like the loveliness or the wisdom of Christ, but rather those wantons in the mire with the vile world.”

their influence and authority.
You resist and refuse the work of Christ.
God says you lack the faith of acknowledging Christ.
“And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (Jhn 12:47–48).

In March 2017 I started doing graphic design work for the church mainly for movie posters and thumbnails. At first I didn’t know much about the technical side, so I was constantly learning the principles and technical skills. I would modestly ask for brothers’ and sisters’ help and I was careful to take others’ advice in my designs. After a while I started to get a handle on the technical skills I needed for the duty. My thumbnails were put online and the click-through rate was pretty good. There was one particular poster for a documentary that lots of brothers and sisters praised. Others were consulting with me a lot on technical issues, so I felt like I had some real talent in the area of graphic design. I became arrogant without realizing it.

Thinking over what she had said, Chen Li couldn’t help but ask herself: “The Lord Jesus gave us a promise: ‘I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also’ (John 14:2–3). He went back up to heaven on a white cloud, so the place He’s preparing for us has to be in heaven, and when the Lord returns, He’ll take us straight into the kingdom of heaven. Plus, the pastors and elders often say that when He returns we’ll be raptured up and meet with the Lord—we’ll be together with Him. If the Lord Jesus had already returned we should have been raptured up by Him, so why we are all still here on earth?” At this thought, Chen Li furrowed her brows; her face was clouded with doubt.
