Some believers in the Lord think that as long as we often read the Bible, watchfully pray, diligently work for the Lord, and spread more gospel, then it means we prepare oil and such people are wise virgins. When the Lord returns, we will surely feast with the Lord. However, have you ever thought such a matter: The Pharisees back then not only knew the Bible very well and held on to laws and commandments but also traveled sea and land to spread the gospel of Jehovah God. However, when the Lord Jesus came to do work, they nailed the Lord Jesus to the cross and were cursed and punished by God. Can such people be wise virgins? How can we become wise virgins to welcome the Lord? There is the answer in the following article.

I Relinquish My Notions and Welcome the Lord’s Return

My whole family believes in God. I attended mass with my mom from the time I was a little girl and God bestowed so much grace on us—we were full of gratitude toward Him and we were also longing for the Lord’s return. But I never imagined that when the Lord really did return to work and save us, I wouldn’t recognize His work but would instead rely on my arrogant nature and cling to my old notions, nearly missing out on the Lord’s salvation. Every time I think of this I feel self-reproach but I also rejoice. The Lord Jesus had mercy on me and through my brothers’ and sisters’ patient fellowship on the Lord’s new words I have gained an understanding of His new work, thus becoming able to follow His footsteps. I am grateful for the Lord’s salvation for me that allowed me to catch the very last train for the Age of Kingdom. Now all sorts of scenes of me accepting the Lord are playing in my head….

Anick and Mireille are good friends. One day, a chance opportunity comes along when they watch the movie Where Is My Home, made by The Church of Almighty God. They find it very moving, and the book which changes the main character’s destiny in the movie particularly arouses their curiosity. They sense the warmth and authority in the words in that book, and they feel that no ordinary human being could have spoken those words. When they hear that these words are the utterances of the returned Lord, they find it inconceivable. As far as they’re concerned, the Lord has not yet come on a cloud and appeared openly, so how could it be claimed that the Lord has returned? After some internal struggle, they consider the fact that God’s work transcends the thoughts and ideas of man, and they decide to let go of their notions and imaginings and investigate God’s work of the last days. How do they recognize God’s voice and welcome the Lord in the end? Let’s listen to Anick tell their story.

Through reading Almighty God’s words, attending gatherings and listening to fellowship, she learns the principle to discern the true Christ from false Christs, she recognizes that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned, and happily accepts Almighty God’s work of the last days.

The main character has believed in God since she was little, along with her family, and has been waiting for the Lord to return. One day, a church friend of hers gives her testimony that the Lord Jesus has already returned, and that He’s expressing truths to do the work of judging and cleansing mankind. She wants to look into it, but then she remembers the priest always saying that false Christs will come in the last days to deceive people, so she turns her friend down. But through the fellowships of her friend, her husband, and her mother-in-law, she realizes that labeling all news of the Lord’s coming as fake for fear of being misled is just cutting off her nose to spite her face, and means she’s likely to condemn the Lord’s return as well. She therefore decides to investigate and learn more about it. Through reading Almighty God’s words, attending gatherings and listening to fellowship, she learns the principle to discern the true Christ from false Christs, she recognizes that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned, and happily accepts Almighty God’s work of the last days.
